During the day, novice trainers often use this space as a safe battle arena, while teens and young adults prefer to meet up with their friends and dates, drinking a soda in the bright sunlight and enjoying each other's company.

Battles may occur here, but only between low level Pokemon because the roof is crowded with people who want to enjoy the sunlight. Several coffee stands are opened, occasionally also selling poke blocks.

On Tuesdays, a pokemon breeder named Ahkilah will hand out five Beldum eggs to beginning trainers.
